Project Green: Tree Planting and Growing Activity
The "new" Stewards of Nature!
The Project GREEN or Gearing toward a Renewed Environment is the landmark project of SSC to address problems with regard to the Environment. First from the series of activities is the Tree Growing and Planting activity headed by the College of Criminology and Justice Education Representative Rey Belden Reyes. The event was participated in by the Supreme Student Council, Knights Ambassadors, The Impulse Publication, WU-P Life Society, and the Kappa Epsilon Fraternity. The group planted fifty plus Mahogany trees and planning to expand on greening the vicinity of the national high-way.

Leadership Academy Phase 3: a YWAP and Recollection Experience!
The Officers of the Supreme Student Council underwent personal leadership workshop conducted by Youth with a Purpose (YWAP) headed by Doc Rene Francisco and Sir Joy Cleto. The afternoon session was facilitated by the SSC Consultant Darren Gonzales and introduced the participants to a new way of journeying with their leadership experiences. Leadership Academy Phase 4 is scheduled on August 13 with Ms. Mildred Ople of the Ayala Young Leaders Alliance as the facilitator. Ms. Ople will talk about Leveling Up on Student Leadership!

WU-P sealed the Deal with Gawad Kalinga

WU-P and GK, Inc. signed the Memorandum of Agreement for
Community Development Partnership
Through the effort and burning passion of the Supreme Student Council to extend their services, they convinced the OIC President of our university to engaged into partnership with the premier community development agency - Gawad Kalinga. "The 14th of July marked the advent of mainstream participation among our students toward volunteerism and outreach activities" said Mr. Darren J. Gonzales, the SSC/OSA Consultant on Student Activities whom is the proponent and one of the instruments in pushing this partnership. Before the scheduled MOA signing, GK Ateneo Office conducted a Leadership Workshop for our student leaders to alligned their plans for the future undertakings of the university for community development projects. School officials graced and witnessed this momentous event thus, full support of the Wesleyan community was guaranteed.

July 9, 2011 marked the advent of community development involvement of Wesleyan University - Philippines through her talented sons and daughters. The event was organized by Ma. Carmelli Rivera, the SSC Vice President whom has ardent passion to help the marginalized sectors of our society. Almost 50 student leaders and talents joined the cause to conduct Free Blood Pressure and Blood Typing for the residents of the village, TELON (Teatrong Laan para sa Obra Ngayon) talents entertained the community through their craft and conducted sing and dance workshops for the students. VPAA Dr. Mrinalini A. Landicho took time amid her busy schedule to visit and greet the Nuestra Senora dela Soleded ANCOP - Canada GK Village. Prof. Henry Cocoy DR. Nacpil and Sir Darren Gonzales of the Office of Student Affairs oversee the conduct of the activity.

To extend more services to the studentry the Supreme Student Council launched the radio program entitled - BE the ONE to constantly informed the Wesleyan community about the projects, activities and gatherings. Tuned in every Tuesdays and Thursdays 4pm to 5pm at WU-P Campus Radio.

SSC Parliamentary Procedure Seminar
The Supreme Student Council successfully conducted the 2nd Phase of the Leadership Academy Program through equipping the student leaders with the necessary skills to better serve the studentry. This Parliamentary Procedure Seminar envisions to guide the College Representatives on how to make their respective resolutions. Special thanks to Sir Cocoy Nacpil for gracing our activity and to Mr. Elvin Flores (SSC Business Manager) for hosting the venue of this activity.
